2020 Birmingham is a coalition of churches and organizations working together in the Birmingham area in church-planting initiatives. The goal of the partnership is to assist in the planting of 20 new congregations by the year 2020. Colin Tamplin is on the Steering Group for 2020.
Birmingham City Mission exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Birmingham and to offer help and support to the needy and marginalised. A number of people within Monyhull actively support BCM (whether as trustees or workers) and a number of our youth groups get involved with various activities run by or for BCM.
Monyhull is affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches, which exists to help independent, Bible-shaped, gospel-driven churches to thrive. As well as providing support and advice to church leaders, FIEC encourages fellowship between local churches and Monyhull has strong links with other FIEC churches in the South Birmingham area. All of our Ministry Team are involved in supporting the work of FIEC and Colin Tamplin currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
The Midlands Gospel Partnership exists to promote co-operation between gospel churches (whether Anglican or independent) in proclaiming, loving and serving Jesus in the Midlands. A significant part of the MGP's work is dedicated to training men and women through the Midlands Ministry Training Course so that they will be better equipped to serve in a wide variety of ministries. Paul Mallard works part-time with the MGP as Director of Training and Development.
UCCF exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the student world. Given the number of colleges and universities in and around Birmingham and the Midlands, UCCF has a vital role to play in encouraging and equipping Christian students to reach out to their friends and fellow students. A number of members at Monyhull have been involved in the universities' Christian Unions, and some have worked with UCCF for a year as Relay Workers.
