John Tindall is married to Pauline (1967). They have three married children
and seven grandchildren. He left school at 16 to join a bank in central
Manchester where he worked for five years. He entered theological training
in 1964 at Wesley College (Leeds) and Wesley College (Bristol).

He served as a Methodist minister in South Wales (1968-70) and Whitley Bay
(70-73) before moving to a Free Methodist Church in Buckinghamshire (73-79).
He moved back to the North East in 1979 to help found a new church in
Tynemouth. In 1984 the whole family moved to Chessington in Surrey where
John served as pastor in the Chessington Evangelical Church for nearly 22
years before moving in July 2006 to join Colin Tamplin on the ministry team
at Monyhull.

John serves on the FIEC Council and occasionally works with the Wycliffe
Bible Translators to minister to missionaries gathered in conference.

He played in the Welsh, North East Amateur, and High Wycombe soccer leagues
before reluctantly hanging up his boots at the age of 47.
