congregationmattWe are a mainstream Christian church, committed to all the historic teachings of the Christian faith. We have a congregation of about 200, most of whom are young adults and families. We run a wide variety of activities for all ages, both on Sundays and throughout the week. We are members of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) and are affiliated to Affinity. We also support the Midlands Gospel Partnership.

 

 

Monyhull Church (pronounced 'Mon-ee-hull'!) was formed in 1989 as South Birmingham Evangelical Church. We have been in the current location since 1997, and have operated under our present name since 2004. For more church history click here

As a church we have 4 main aims:

  • The worship of God, centred on the preaching and teaching of the Bible.
  • The cultivation of a caring fellowship for the encouraging and building up of the members.
  • The spreading of the good news of Jesus by local outreach, and by prayerful and practical support of missionary work.
  • The demonstration of the love of God by active involvement in the local community.
